Universities world-wide provide education in Information Systems or Wirtschaftsinformatik. The AIS provides a database of universities who offer Information Systems programs.
In the German-speaking countries more than 36,500 students in Wirtschaftsinformatik are entrolled. Each year more than 7000 students start their studies and this number was steadily increased during the past 5 years from only 4000 in 2005. For the German-speaking countries the “Studienführer Wirtschaftsinformatik” provides an overview of universities with a respective program. The CHE provides a ranking of different programs for studying Wirtschaftsinformatik, which is regularly published by the Zeit newspaper.
